Gravity flow pallet rack (also called live pallet rack) is one of the high density storage racks. The rack depth could be up to 30 pallets deep. The pick-up mode is "First in first out (FIFO)". One channel is better for one goods type or goods that taken out in order.

Working Principle

1The higher end is equipped with guide rails.

2The pallet is placed on the higher end and flows down under the effect of gravity.

3Guide rails ensure the pallet flows smoothly in the proper direction.

4Damping systems equipped along the roller line regulate descent speed to approximately 200mm per second.

5A separator is positioned at the lower end between the first and second pallets.

6When the first pallet reaches the end, the separator engages to hold the second pallet. Once picked, the separator releases, and the next pallet flows into the pick position.
